Flanked on three sides by the Swan River, Dalkeith lays claim to being Perth’s most expensive suburb, routinely boasting the city’s top median house price.

In the first quarter of this year, the median house price for the suburb was $2.56 million – up 13.6 per cent on the previous year’s $2.24 million – according to the most recent Domain House Price Report.

The top price for the year was a Watkins Road waterfront property originally owned by Alan Bond. It sold for $27.5 million in July 2020.

“It’s definitely one of the top suburbs in Perth,” says Ray White Dalkeith principal Vivien Yap.

“We’ve got corporate buyers, medical and health professionals, fly-in, fly-out executives and a lot of overseas buyers because we’re close to the university.”

Located in Perth’s exclusive western suburbs, Dalkeith attracts mining magnates, CEOs, politicians, sporting and media celebrities alongside families wanting easy access to top public and private schools.
