Fargher Construction, which operated A1 Homes in Hawke’s Bay, Gisborne and Taupō, left creditors out of pocket to the tune of $1.6 million, but all homes under construction have been completed, says A1 Home general manager Matt Cunliffe.
Fargher Construction went into liquidation in February last year.
At the time it had 38 customers. Some of these had homes that were under construction and others had plans or were waiting for consents.
The final liquidators report, by PricewaterhouseCoopers, stated that 76 unsecured claims totalling $1.6m were received but due to insufficient funds being realised they could not be paid.
