If you’re a fan of The Block NZ, you will have seen this lonely house at the bottom of the drive behind the converted firestation at Kingsland, Auckland.

It was a backdrop to many scenes in last year’s series, and now it’s ready for a reno of its own.

Owners Ken and Sheryn Parry say the house was home to Ken’s dad Glynn ever since the couple bought the entire site, including the old firehouse in 1995. And it was the view of Eden Park that sold the family on the properties.
