The former home of a once-well-off dementia sufferer will be sold while claims to the proceeds are decided.
Mary Patricia Scott-Smith and her late husband were said to be astute property investors who bought and sold properties in Wellington.
But by the time she died in October 2015, aged 79, she had been suffering from dementia for several years, she apparently had no savings and her last house was mortgaged and her son, Paul Scott, and daughter-in-law, Kesinee Scott, each had stakes in it equal to her own.
