The US News & World Report recently unveiled the results of a comprehensive survey that gathered opinions from individuals worldwide to determine the finest countries across various categories. Aotearoa secured the eighth position in the global ranking due to its reputation for friendliness and breathtaking landscapes.

However, when considering exclusively the perspectives of Americans, the United Kingdom claimed the top spot as the most highly regarded country globally, with New Zealand coming in second. The complete rankings are as follows:

The survey assessed attributes grouped into ten sub-rankings, contributing to the overall ranking of the best countries. These categories encompassed adventure, agility, cultural influence, entrepreneurship, heritage, movers, open for business, power, quality of life, and social purpose.

Overall, Aotearoa received a high score of 92.6 out of 100 in the global ranking. Within the “adventure” category, Aotearoa continued to excel, earning impressive scores: 97.9 for friendliness, 74.2 for fun, 94.2 for tourism appeal, 87.3 for a pleasant climate, and a perfect 100 for its breathtaking scenery.

However, in the category labeled “sexy,” Aotearoa received a less favorable score of 7.0.

Aotearoa also performed well in the quality of life category, with a score of 80.5 out of 100. Additionally, it garnered scores of 79.6 for economic stability, 98.7 for being family-friendly, and 86.2 for political stability. Notably, affordability was an area where New Zealand received a notably low score, just 6.2 out of 100.
