A Frank Lloyd Wright-designed house for a mere US$145,000 (NZ$232,000)?
It sounds like a joke, but it’s true. And one reason it’s so cheap is because it’s one of the legendary architect’s earliest commissions and it doesn’t bear the signature FLW features that we have come to recognise and love.
The multi-gabled house in Harvard Road in Chicago’s West Pullman neighbourhood, was built in 1900, which is a good decade before Wright began his renowned “prairie” style of architecture.
