Work is expected to get underway soon on the first stage of a significant new residential neighbourhood of over 1,200 homes on the edge of the Manukau Harbour.
The 14 hectare development in Favona, and next to Mangere Bridge, will ultimately house 4,000 people.
Called Market Cove, the development will be a mix of architecturally designed terraced houses and apartments.
