A remarkable sales day witnessed the complete sell-out of an 18-lot land release in the Hunter Valley within a record-breaking eight hours. Commencing at 8 am, the doors opened for the day with 18 appointments scheduled, resulting in sales figures surpassing $6.5 million. Good fortune smiled upon the 18 eager buyers who were selected from a database of 200 individuals receiving a text message a few days before the event. In just 10 minutes, the available slots were fully booked, as the first respondents secured appointments with the sales team.
The primary interest in this land release emanated from existing Wallis Creek residents and those from Sydney seeking a change of scenery. Wallis Creek, an established masterplanned community completed by Walker with 475 blocks in 2022, already boasts a community of over 1000 homes. The recent addition to the masterplan anticipates the creation of another 322 land lots over the next 12 months.

The initial 18 lots form part of a phased release, varying in size from 450 to 806 square meters. Walker’s Executive Chairman, Lang Walker AO, emphasized that the record-breaking sellout underscores the robust demand from families desiring to reside in a masterplanned community with amenities such as parklands, healthcare, education, shopping, and transportation.
Mr. Walker highlighted the significance of large-scale masterplanned developments like Wallis Creek in addressing New South Wales’ critical housing supply shortage and easing the strain on the escalating costs of renting and property acquisition. He mentioned the contributions made to local infrastructure, cultural activities, healthcare, education, and sustainability, aiming to ensure that the communities thrive with diverse homes catering to future generations.
