The beds are made and the american oak joinery is polished. Christchurch Airport’s Novotel hotel is finally open for business.
The long-delayed $80 million hotel, owned by the airport and to be run by hotel company Accor under its Novotel brand, opens to guests on Monday.
Hotel general manager Olivier Lacoua said it was “a big relief” to be open two years after originally scheduled, but he was confident people would quickly forget about the delays.
