After more than three years restoring one of Christchurch’s most unique homes, there is light at the end of the tunnel for Christchurch couple Isabelle and Tim Weston.

With love, and $2.5 million, they have restored the Riccarton property Isabelle Weston’s father – the late John Britten – and his family called home for 40 years. The project will feature on Three’s Grand Designs NZ on Wednesday evening.

The Matai St West house and surrounding structures were damaged in the 2010 earthquakes, and subsequently repaired. It was then severely damaged in the 2011 earthquakes.
