A greedy estate agent who stole more than £350,000 from customers to fund a lavish lifestyle has been told to pay back £1.
Clifford Wheatcroft, 35, opened Real-Est8 Property Solutions to offer a “middleman” service to landlords in finding tenants and collecting deposits and rent.
He charged landlords just £50 every month to secure the tenants’ cash.
But instead of placing the money in the secure Government tenancy deposit protection scheme, the shamed businessman splurged it on fancy getaways and shopping sprees for years.
