A heritage icon, The Doctor’s House at Windsor in Sydney‘s Hawkesbury district, is up for sale for the first time in more than a decade.
The circa early 1800s building at 1 Thompson Square, overlooking the Hawkesbury River and the new Windsor Bridge, has already garnered interest from potential buyers in the short time it has been on the market.
Michael Bennett, principal of the Bennett Property Team, said “people from far and wide” had enquired about the “hard to find” property.
“We’ve had a lot of interest from people wanting to move from Sydney since the Covid-19 crisis, and there’s certain people who just want to buy historic homes,” he told the Gazette.
