When summer hits, Sydney’s glitterati and their assorted hangers-on tend to descend on Palm Beach for some sun, sand and socialising. Just one suburb to the south is a place equally as beautiful but just a little less extroverted – Whale Beach.
Think of it as Palmie’s younger sister; the one who’s rather go surfing than post selfies on social media.
“Palm Beach has more social infrastructure. There are more coffee shops, the RSL and the golf club,” says David Edwards, principal of LJ Hooker Palm Beach.
