Iwi land at Shelly Bay has been reduced to a shadow of its former glory and sold for a fraction of its sale price.
And some iwi believe the remaining land at the site – pegged for a $500 million development – is on the verge of being lost, and are pledging to fight for the return of the lost land.
Port Nicholson Block Settlement Trust (PNBST) trustee Neville Baker on Monday told Stuff iwi still held the “majority” of its land there but could not supply details. He then stopped returning calls.
