Having recently hosted successful comedy nights for local schools while managing the SheSells agency in Fairfield, Hill has set her sights on the 2024 Melbourne Comedy Festival with ‘Whack Job! Hilarious and Horrific Tales about Real Estate.’ No stranger to international festivals, Hill last performed in 2015 with ‘Flirting With Danger,’ a comedic reflection on her experiences touring with troops in Egypt and the United Arab Emirates.

Describing her upcoming gig as an interactive performance on the highs and lows of Australia’s property market, Hill sees it as “therapy for agents and a safe place for property tragics.” The show, featuring stand-up, charity auctions, characters, and chaos, invites agents, buyers, and vendors to share their stories, fostering laughter and lessons from both good and bad times.

‘Whack Job!’ will be part of the Comedy Festival on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at the Grandview Hotel in Fairfield. Attendees can anticipate a blend of awful and hysterical anecdotes about the property market, ranging from buyers fleeing auctions upon realizing their bids to Hill herself splitting her skirt mid-auction.

Hill drew inspiration for the performance from watching “Shaun of the Dead” and “World’s End” with her son, recognizing the similarities and humor in those films’ storylines to the experiences of real estate agents, buyers, and sellers during lockdowns.

Reflecting on the challenges of the past, including the pandemic, fires, floods, and alien sightings, Hill believes it’s time to come together and find humor in the ups and downs of real estate and bank balances. She encourages anyone with entertaining real estate stories to share them via email at realestateisawhackjob@gmail.com.
