Joh Bailey co-founder Marilyn Koch, whose Double Bay hairdressing salon is at the centre of a Covid scare, has pounced on a townhouse in the same exclusive suburb.

Sources say Koch paid $4.4m for a three-bedroom, three-bathroom residence with internal access to a three-car garage at 6/335 New South Head Road — a record for the block.

This week’s result is considerably more than the previous record of $3.8m for unit 4, which exchanged only a few weeks ago. And that was a bigger and better apartment.

But no doubt Koch has bold plans for a dramatic glamorous transformation of the 1998-built residence that last traded for $3,215,000 two years ago.

It’s understood JT Allen agent Zac Rabin did the latest deal, though he refused to comment when contacted by the Wentworth Courier.
