Media titan Kerry Stokes is set to start his next big project – a $544,000 extension on his historic Darling Point trophy home Glanworth.
The DA approval process was not without its detractors, with next door neighbour and yachtsman Matt Allen lodging a formal objection to the plans on the grounds it would “cause unreasonable loss of views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge”.
However, in the absence of any other local objections the Heather Buttrose Associates additions to the Antebellum-style residence have been approved by Woollahra Council’s Application Assessment Panel, after the initial DA was withdrawn at the last minute earlier this year for minor amendments.
