Building affordable homes to help New Zealanders get on the elusive property ladder is the foundation of the Government’s KiwiBuild scheme.

On Wednesday, it was unveiled who would be eligible to buy one of the 100,000 affordable homes it intends to build over the next 10 years.

KiwiBuild is restricted to first-home buyers and ‘second chancers’ – those people who through certain circumstances don’t own their own home or no longer own one.
