A Canterbury landlord has been told it’s “unfortunate” that he chose to “throw the book” at a tenant when a dispute over carpet went sour.
Tenyyu Fu, also known as Ethan, rented a house in Lincoln from Leslie Watt.
He was allowed to have a small dog at the property.
But when he moved out, Watt took issue with damage the dog had done to the carpet.
He sought $2000 compensation, which Fu would not pay.
