A public spirited landlord wants to offer his large rental property for the use of essential workers during the coronavirus crisis.

Ryan Weir says he has a property in Mt Albert that sleeps eight people and he’s offering it for free for the duration of the lockdown, preferably to workers from one organisation who all in the same “bubble”.

“It’s fully furnished. I rent the rooms individually and I had just completed a renovation and presented it well and started to conduct viewings. Just before the lockdown I signed new tenants to move in but none of those tenants can move in,” Weir said.
