On Monday afternoon Tony’s View subscribers who are residential property investors were invited to answer a survey focused around the March 23 housing policy announcement. The results show that about 74% of the over 3,700 respondents plan raising rents more than they were planning, 32% plan not buying property they were considering buying, while 25% are considering selling what they have.
‘These are early days yet in terms of understanding the implications of the changes and we should perhaps heed the lesson of the last big shock to the housing market exactly a year ago which produced an outcome vastly different from expectations at the time.’
