  • Port Chief executive Guy Roper said all that was missing from the newly re-named Craig Norgate building was a fresh lick of amber and black paint.

The Hawera-born staunch Taranaki rugby supporter, Fonterra’s first CEO and all-round pillar of Taranaki business and community passed away almost a year ago, but was honoured on Saturday when a building at Port Taranaki was renamed after him.

“I think he would have been extremely humbled by it,” his son Jordan said.
