Life above Melbourne: Architect Karl Fender’s apartment a quarter kilometre in the sky

Like many property buyers, co-founder of renowned architecture and design firm Fender Katsalidis, Karl Fender, loves a great view.

When he bought his apartment at Eureka Tower in Melbourne’s Southbank – which his firm designed – it was one of the main reasons for his purchase.

And although in 2006 it was one of the tallest apartment buildings in Melbourne, Mr Fender says his view is now going to be partly blocked by another Fender Katsalidis building across the road.
