Dean Harrison wasn’t holding his breath as he drove to Halswell to look at yet another house.
“I had done three or four months of open homes and couldn’t find a thing,” he says.
The journey with the agent got even gloomier when he realised they weren’t heading for the hills but to a subdivision on the flat.
“I call this Wigram. But when we got there I thought ‘this is quite a nice little cul de sac so I may as well have a look’.”
One look at the huge sleepers over the entranceway and the house was his.
