Lower North Island property in demand as prices surge

It’s still possible to find good property deals in the provinces, but the gap between town and country is narrowing.

South Wairarapa house values have ballooned by a whopping 23 per cent on average, according to QV’s latest residential property update for the year until April.

Seven of the top 10 regional price rises were in Lower North Island districts with Wairarapa, Kapiti Coast and Hawke’s Bay all proving there is high demand.
