The Stuff story about the coastal land for sale at Makara has cast a light on a tiny bach community that has thrived for decades, and wants to remain.
So much so, that the “Paddock” community, as they call themselves, will be putting in an offer.
Their little community isn’t easy to find – it’s right at the end of Wellington’s south coast road, past the quarry, and the red rocks and the seals, but it’s pretty special.
