House prices in Marlborough show no sign of slowing, with the region recording New Zealand’s biggest jump in month-on-month asking prices.
And sellers are getting what they’re asking for, with multiple offers on many properties – particularly in the first-home buyers’ bracket.
Latest figures from realstestate.co.nz, released on Monday, showed asking prices in Marlborough had jumped 9.2 per cent between May and June, taking the average asking price to $529,617.
While houses don’t always sell for their exact asking price, Bayleys Marlborough general manager David Lee said the spike reflected a general increase in housing prices.
