Jules Robinson and Cameron Merchant, known from their appearance on Married At First Sight, have successfully sold their investment property in Mermaid Beach on the Gold Coast for $700,000, marking a significant profit from their initial purchase three years ago. Originally acquiring the townhouse for $550,000, situated in the Diamond Sands complex along the Gold Coast Highway, the couple has capitalized on the area’s allure, merely a five-minute stroll from the beach.
The property, boasting two bedrooms, was promptly listed for rent at $690 per week following its sale through LJ Hooker Robina. Their investment in the area, part of the Cascade Investments’ development on the former Coconut Grove caravan park site, has evidently paid dividends.
Their real estate success extends further as they’ve moved into a contemporary six-bedroom, five-bathroom house in Broadbeach Waters, situated on the Nerang River, purchased for $3.65 million in 2022. This move complements their retained property in Cromer on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, acquired for $1.806 million in the same year. As they eagerly await the arrival of their second child, they continue to build their real estate portfolio strategically.

Despite recent fluctuations in the local property market, with the median house price in Mermaid Beach experiencing a 12.9% decline over the past 12 months to $2.7 million, the median unit prices have risen by 7% to $805,000. Nevertheless, Jules and Cameron’s astute investment decisions have proven fruitful, affirming their financial acumen.
