Two of Wellington region’s rugby grandstands are facing earthquake strengthening issues, with one ordered closed, effective immediately.
Masterton’s Sir Brian Lochore Stand was closed this week following an initial structural engineering report showing its earthquake rating to be below the required standard.
Meanwhile it’s been more than two years since the the grandstand at Levin Domain was assessed as quake prone, but a decision still hadn’t been reached on its fate.
