FIVE-time Olympian Mary Hanna has sold her multimillion-dollar Bellarine Peninsula home and equestrian training centre after a short campaign attracted international interest.
Prospective buyers galloped in from overseas and across Australia to inspect the stunning lifestyle property at 80 Scotchmans Rd, Bellarine.
Charles Stewart, Geelong agent Andrew Rice said Melbourne buyers pounced a month before offers were due to close.
Mr Rice was unable to disclose the sale price due to a confidentiality agreement but the 24.28ha property was listed with a price guide of $7 million to $7.7 million.
“We had overseas interest and I had people from Queensland, Perth, Sydney and Melbourne and Melbourne buyers bought it,” Mr Rice said.
“It’s a pretty impressive place — it was probably the combination of the horse infrastructure, the quality home and the big water views.
“It’s top shelf.”
