Chanelle Cornish knows she is going to lose her home.
The Lower Hutt home her family has rented on Pharyazn St for six years is set to be demolished to make way for the Melling Interchange and flood bank.
So when she received a letter on Monday from from Hutt South MP Chris Bishop celebrating the Melling funding announcement, it rubbed her the wrong way.
“People are going to lose their homes. I don’t understand why you would send that letter to residents of a suburb that is about to be displaced. It’s completely insensitive,” Cornish said.
