  • A group of Moa Point Rd residents opposed to Wellington Airport’s proposed runway extension are taking their case to the Environment Court.

The Hue te Taka Incorporated Society announced their intention on Monday to appear in court when a resource consent hearing for the $343 million project is held in early 2017.

Spokesman Karl Weber said the group represent “the most directly and severely-affected” residents from the Wellington suburb of Moa Point, next to the southern end of the airport in Rongotai.
