Ed Sheeran has clearly come a long way from his busking days.
The British superstar now boasts an impressive £57 million (NZ$115m) property portfolio in the UK, which includes 27 flats, houses and mansions.
Perhaps even more impressive is that the 29-year-old also happens to be mortgage-free.
The shrewd investor is said to have paid for all of his properties in cash, according to a source in The Sun.
Sheeran, who is estimated to be worth around £200 million (NZ$401m), didn’t need to borrow the money “because he already had it”, the source said.
The majority of the properties are in London, including two recent purchases in Covent Garden, as well as a mansion in Holland Park, five flats in Wiverton Tower in Whitechapel and a trendy Portobello Road bar/restaurant called Bertie Blossoms.
