PHOTO: HANNAH ROSS/STUFF – June Patchet’s view of the valley will soon be taken over by a two-storey house.
Crowned Mrs Henderson in 1970, June Patchet is upset she’s to lose her view of Henderson.
The West Auckland resident has been living in her home for 18 years, looking out onto a “lovely” view of the suburb.
Now, developments are underway and a two-storey house is being built on the edge of her property, taking away her view.
“It is bad news really when you can have a panoramic view and they can come and build in front of you and there is nothing you can do.”
