Richard “Dick” Enthoven — the South African billionaire businessman who owns the chicken restaurant food chain Nando’s as well as the Hollard Group of insurance companies — has sold his Point Piper home for $21.8 million.

Sales of such trophy homes in Sydney have been rare this year —it’s one of just five to exchange for more than $20 million.

Although some big homes that have been sitting on the market for many months are now starting to move.

Steve and Ilana Penn’s architectural masterpiece, ‘The Cliff House’ at Dover Heights — listed with an $11.5m-$12m guide close to four months ago but reduced to $9.5 million in the lead up to the Federal election — has also just sold for “considerably less” than its latest price guide, according to sources.
