Construction of a controversial new house labelled a “monstrosity” by neighbours could be halted after “potential inaccuracies” were found in the resource consent plans.
Neighbours believe the house under construction on Rata St in Riccarton may have been approved based on inaccurate figures.
The new house, which overlooks Riccarton Bush in the city’s affluent western suburbs, is larger than the home it will replace and is being built close to the property boundary. Neighbours believe it is too bulky and will cast large shadows over their properties.
