A Nelson house built for charity is offering Kiwis the chance to own a home – and support children with cancer.

The new-build was constructed by Nelson company Homes by Orange and will be publicly auctioned off on Saturday, July 25. The money raised will go to the Child Cancer Foundation (CCF).

CCF operates nationwide and offers vital support services for children with cancer and their families.

Homes by Orange director David Orange says the charity build has been an idea for a long time, and his team, along with close to 30 supporting businesses, are delighted to see it finally become reality.

“We’re confident the initiative to raise money to support children with cancer and their families in Nelson and nationwide will result in a significant donation,” Orange says.

Tony Fitzgerald, CCF development manager, says the charity has lost between $1 to $2 million of forecasted revenue due to fundraising activities cancelled by COVID-19.
