Star rugby league coach Trent Barrett has followed up recent revelations he has signed with Canterbury Bulldogs by putting his Freshwater house up for auction.
The three-level house was bought by Barrett five years ago for $2.41 million when he and his wife Kylie moved to Sydney from their home in Shellharbour.
At the time the couple sold their former Barrack Point home, Barrett had been appointed Manly coach for the 2016 season, replacing Geoff Toovey, and ending his decade-long residency in the South Coast home since he’d bought it in 2004 for $904,000.
Barrett’s move to the Bulldogs was announced in July on a three-year deal to start at the end of the 2020 season, coming a year after he took signed with Penrith Panthers.
His Robert Street residence hits the market as the Barrett family plan to relocate out of the area, according to Belle Property’s Ryan Spence, who has listed it with Matt Brady.
The five-bedroom, three-bathroom house is set on 642 square metres and comes with a glass-fronted swimming pool, cellar and separate living areas. It goes under the hammer on August 29.
