The timing for this change is ideal, as Ponsonby takes over from LJ Hookers. Having lived in Kaitaia since the late 1970s and previously worked as a farmer, Ponsonby understands the region and its unique property market. Raine & Horne Kaitaia, Paihia, and Mangonui will specialize in selling lifestyle acreage, rural, commercial, and residential properties.

This transition to Raine & Horne comes at the perfect moment, as the Northland region is increasingly attracting buyers looking beyond Auckland. Ponsonby points out that properties in Northland are more affordable compared to Auckland, where the average price exceeds $1 million. In contrast, in the Northland region, one can still find excellent family homes for less than $900,000.
