Seasoned American football player Odell Beckham Jr is a man of considerable flair, on and off the gridiron.
Even the most cursory of scrolls through the 29-year-old’s Instagram shows he’s got discernible tastes, with high-end fashion, watches and cars an almost permanent fixture of his social media feed.
The veteran wide receiver even wore a quarter-of-a-million-dollar timepiece while playing a game of football in 2019, which made headlines across the globe.
Needless to say, OBJ, as his nickname goes, likes the wildly luxurious, finer things in life.
Knowing all this, it comes as little surprise the NFL player’s penchant for the lavish and opulent has extended to his own home, which has just been listed for sale.
Located in the affluent township of Columbia Station in Ohio, the four-bedroom, four-and-a-half bathroom, 1282-square-metre mansion is mighty fine.
However, judging from the abode’s exterior, it seems, if anything, a bit too reserved for the man who once said, “I’ve always liked to dress up; I’ve always liked to look good. You look good, you feel good, you play good.”
As soon as the threshold is crossed from exterior to interior, though, it quickly becomes obvious that this abode does indeed belong to OBJ.
There’s a giant man cave located on the home’s lower level, which boasts an expansive bar, pool table, air hockey table and even a dirt bike in one corner.
Other distinctly OBJ features include an opulent-looking study with framed player jerseys, a home office with bespoke, spray-painted walls, a massive home gym located in a separate shed, and a plush-looking home theatre.
Easily the wildest feature of the home, however, is the walk-in robe, which is actually a dressing room situated next to the aforementioned man cave.
The gargantuan space has been decked out in a wonderfully over-the-top way and looks more akin to a streetwear boutique than a place to dress one’s self.
Myriad sneakers line the room’s walls, illuminated by a technicolour display of neon lights that line each row of Nikes.
There are also racks of clothing hung in several neat rows, suspended from a fixture that juts from the robe’s ceiling.
A pair of spherical lounge chairs mean that OBJ can sit and deliberate what ensemble he’ll don for the day.
There’s even a portion of one wall dedicated to several colourful skateboard decks – a popular interior design cue for the streetwear-inclined.
It’s a staggering (and gauche) display of the man’s sui generis style, and we can’t think of another walk-in robe like it.
All this panache does come with a pounding price tag, though.
OBJ’s listed the property with an asking price of US$3.3 million ($4.6 million), which may seem like a lot, but we’d hazard a guess the NFL player’s watch collection is worth more.
