Nick Cummins, widely known as the ‘Honey Badger,’ is bidding farewell to urban life as he puts his Gold Coast residence on the market.

In 2020, this internationally acclaimed rugby player turned reality TV sensation, along with his partner Alexandra George, oversaw the construction of a lavish five-bedroom residence in Broadbeach Waters. This property venture commenced with the purchase of a 551-square-meter plot in January 2019 for $775,000. The original 1970s dwelling was razed to make way for a luxurious two-story abode featuring a cinema room. Reflecting on their partnership, Cummins praised George’s impressive design skills, stating, “It was our inaugural joint project, and it turns out she has quite the knack for design,” as he shared with the Gold Coast Bulletin in 2021.

He went on to recall, “When we had it constructed, I was there all by myself, sleeping in a swag in the master bedroom. I had a little coffee table my brother had crafted… and I had two camping chairs, and I was quite content with that. However, when Alex arrived, she brought some much-needed sense into my life.” The property was placed on the rental market in May 2022, shortly before the couple welcomed their son in October of the same year.

Subsequently, the duo exchanged their beachside suburban lifestyle for one on a sprawling estate in the Gold Coast Hinterland. Their Broadbeach Waters home is now listed for sale with Corey Bedford, a real estate agent from Kollosche – Broadbeach. Bedford reported robust interest from both local and interstate buyers after launching the property campaign. He stated, “Last Saturday’s open house was quite busy, and we received significant inquiries. This property epitomizes a luxurious lifestyle – we’re seeking someone who desires waterfront living near the primary river and wants a move-in ready home.” The residence boasts an open-plan kitchen, dining, and living area that extends to a multi-level deck, complete with a spa, firepit, and pontoon.

Described in the listing as “impeccably constructed in 2020, this contemporary and spacious two-story residence offers a seamless transition to a premium waterfront lifestyle.” Interested parties are invited to submit expressions of interest, with the deadline set for October 20, 2023.

According to PropTrack data, Broadbeach Waters has become the newest Gold Coast suburb to join the “$2 million club,” boasting a median house price of $2,018,383.
