Buyers are still snapping up houses around New Zealand for up to $100,000.
While house prices were up 3.2 per cent around the country to a median $560,000 in February, according to the Real Estate Institute, there are still bargains to be found.
Homes.co.nz data shows the cheapest New Zealand residential property sold in the past year was on Richmond St in Ohai, halfway between Invercargill and Te Anau.
The house was described as having three good-sized bedrooms, kitchen dining and a “newish” stove. The house, which needed repainting when it was listed for sale, has a quarter-acre section and a single garage.
