The accomplished journalist and news presenter says it took time to adjust to home ownership.
What is your strongest memory of your childhood home?
I grew up in Coffs Harbour in northern NSW in a housing commission area and I lived in the same house for most of my childhood, so it was a wonderful sense of community. My best friend lived next door and I had friends around the corner and down the street, so I remember a great sense of freedom and friendship out my front door. The home was nothing special but it had plenty of heart.
