A bach in Cable Bay, Northland has been put on the market for $3.85 million by the family which has owned the land it sits on for 125 years.
The two-bedroom waterfront bach, sits on 13 hectares of undeveloped land and was constructed by a local builder in 1966. It still retains its original form, including a yellow Formica kitchen bench, rimu floors and the original bunk room.
The property was purchased by Rodney Harris’ great-grandfather when he emigrated from the United Kingdom in 1893.
