For the first time in more than two years, Brisbane’s home prices have experienced a slight dip, according to the latest PropTrack Home Price Index. December saw a 0.04% decrease in the city’s median home price, ending a streak of 25 months of consistent growth. While this drop may signal a slowing rate of growth, Brisbane’s housing affordability crisis remains a pressing issue, with house prices up 10.63% over the past year. The trend contrasts with the Queensland regions, which continue to see price increases.
