Previously, the 24-year-old Broncos center had been renting a place before making this real estate purchase. The auction commenced with an initial bid of $1.5 million, with four registered participants competing.

Real estate agent Chrese Morley, operating under Ray White Ascot, along with colleague Keith Mahon, promoted the property. Morley expressed contentment with the outcome, as it aligned well with her expectations. She highlighted that Hendra is a closely-knit neighborhood characterized by predominantly owner-occupied homes.

Morley elaborated, “Buyers have firmly established budgets that they adhere to; they’re generally quite conscious of their financial limits. This trend is likely to become the new norm. We witnessed interest from out-of-state individuals, families, and even some international buyers who engaged during the marketing campaign.”

The sellers of the property have opted to move to a larger piece of land in Ascot. Morley also predicted a robust spring housing market, citing ongoing discussions with potential sellers.

According to data from PropTrack, the median house price in Hendra showed a 7.3% increase, reaching $1.69 million between August 2022 and July 2023.
