The Waikato home Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern grew up in is on the market – and it could be yours.
Her Morrinsville family home, which her grandad helped build, is up for sale for $639,000.
The four-bedroom two-bathroom home is styled in Lockwood timber and has been moved from its original section down the road to 470A Thames St.
It boasts a spacious north-facing lounge, a wood burner, heat pump and double glazing.
Taking to Instagram on Saturday evening after spending the day campaigning in Morrinsville, Ardern said she took “a quick drive” through her old neighbourhood and shared fond memories of her old home.
“A little while ago it was moved to a new section and it threw me to see it facing a completely different way, but it’s still the same lovely house that my Grandad helped build, that creaked in the night, had carpet in the bathroom, and that when you lit the fire was super hot upstairs and freezing everywhere else,” she said.
