Just two houses, both by Andrew Sexton Architecture, received Housing Awards in the NZIA Wellington Architecture Awards held on Wednesday, May 8, 2019.
One – Windy Point House – is in Eastborne, while the other, Cashmere Oaks House, is in Masterton.
In announcing the awards, the jury said Windy Point House “sits between a rock and a hard place, but makes the most of this challenge with exquisitely crafted joinery, cunningly clever planning and stunning views out over the wildest water in Wellington”.
