A lucky escape from a Fiji helicopter crash motivated the Toresen family to build their own resort-like pool at their home in Clevedon, Auckland.
The terrifying 2015 crash at Treasure Island Resort was an ordeal the family haven’t forgotten.
When coming in to land, the helicopter was caught by a strong wind gust. It flew into some nearby trees, began to fall apart and spiralled to the ground, crashing beside the resort pool.
