Only a maximum of 10 people will be allowed inside an open home at one time during level 2, the Real Estate Institute says.

It has issued new guidance for salespeople. The industry had previously thought there would be a 100-person limit on open homes.

It said open homes and private viewings could happen provided there was physical distancing and contact tracing in place and hygiene etiquette was adhered to.

Access might need to be staggered to limit the number of people in a property at any one time, the institute said.
